|
Rooibos Tea
- Fermented
- Caffeine free!
- Low tannin content
- Anti-oxidants rich (polyphenols)
60-80mg per 200ml
- Research: Limited scientific data, general health benefits, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic, no proven weight loss properties yet, but excellent substitute for those battling with adequate water intake.
- No problems with Iron absorption, may be taken with meals.

Green Tea
- Unfermented
- Caffeine ± 20mg per cup
(vs. coffee @ 80mg per cup) – if it indicates caffeine free it is.
- Tannin: EGCG (potent free radical scavenger)
- Anti-oxidants (polyphenols)
40-60mg per 200ml
- Research: Extensive, excellent Cardiovascular health benefits, natural diuretic (improves cellulite!), very effective treatment for Insulin resistance, powerful thermogenic: burns calories!
- Iron absorption reduced, minimize this effect by having green tea in between meals, not with meals.
