Synergy 1 Orafti  

  • An enriched chicory inulin powder* containing a carefully selected DP distribution (DP = Degree of Polymerisation = chain length of the molecules);
  • A combination of chicory inulin molecules with selected chain lengths, enriched by a specific fraction  of oligofructose produced by partial enzymatic hydrolysis of chicory inulin;
  • A  food ingredient containing inulin, oligofructose, fructose, glucose and sucrose;
  • Exactly the same product as the one used in the clinical research that shows that a daily intake of 8 g significantly increases calcium uptake in humans *.

Chicory inulin:

  • Is a mixture of polysaccharides which are composed of fructose units linked together by ß (2-1) linkages.
  • Almost every molecule is terminated by a glucose unit. The total number of fructose or glucose units of chicory inulin ranges mainly between 2 and 60.

Chicory Oligofructose (* patent pending)

  • Is a mixture of oligosaccharides which are composed of fructose units linked together by ß(2- 1)linkages. Part of these molecules is terminated by a glucose unit. The total number of fructose or glucose units = Degree of Polymerisation.
